It’s probably pretty obvious by now to most of you that I love to cook. But it wasn’t always that way.
The story I tell everyone is that I learned to cook for my husband. His mother is a legendary cook, I explain, and I didn’t want him to suffer from my absolute lack of cooking skills. So I learned to do it myself. Over time, I learned to do it quite well.
And that’s all true.
Sort of.
The full truth is that I started learning to cook for my husband. But somewhere early on, I learned that if I could cook well, I could eat well. And as my cooking skills improved, for the first time nearly any food I could dream up was within my reach. Moist, elaborately frosted cakes. Perfectly seasoned and grilled steaks. Souffles. Cobblers. Casseroles. Lobster tails. If I could dream it (and find the right recipe online), then I could do it.
It’s what I call a win-win scenario. My family loves gets to eat delicious meals nearly every night…
but more importantly…
I GET TO EAT DELICIOUS MEALS EVERY NIGHT. MWAH HA HA HA HAAAAA!
This is why I can totally relate to Hillshire Farm’s “So Good. They’ll Think It’s For Them” campaign, which is alllllll about the win-win. Most of you probably already use Hillshire Farm products at least sometimes, right? I, for example, am a huge fan of the turkey sausage- I eat a bowl almost every morning.
Well, I know that many of you also love coupons. So here’s your win-win scenario: Starting August 1st, if you watch the featured video on the Hillshire Farm Facebook page, you can download a $.55 off coupon for any Hillshire Farm product. If you post the offer on your own Facebook page OR enter three friends’ e-mail addresses, you can upgrade to a coupon for $1 dollar off!
So, to review: Watch a funny video, get a great coupon, share the offer, get a bigger coupon, buy a Hillshire Farm product, save a dollar toward a new pair of sexy shoes, AND have something delicious to give your family (and yourself, of course) to eat.
I’d call that a win-win-win-win-win-win-win.
