If there’s one thing that unites all four of my kids (who range in age from my 9-year-old son to my 26-year-old stepdaughter), it’s Pokémon. My stepdaughters both collected Pokémon trading cards when they were kids, and my oldest stepdaughter is now one of those Millennials running around town playing Pokémon Go. My 9-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter are current Pokémon fanatics and have been for some time. They watch Pokémon cartoons on television, dress as Pokémon characters and stage elaborate imaginary Pokémon-catching games, and enthusiastically play every Pokémon Nintendo 3DS game that comes out. I love Pokémon for the way it unites my kids, giving them a common bond despite the fact that they’re all different ages and in different stages of life.
If you have Pokémon fans in the house, you already know what I’m about to tell you — In celebration of Pokémon’s 20th anniversary this year, two exciting new games are now available at GameStop: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. In these games, players explore the beautiful Alola Region with the help of Professor Kukui and his mysterious assistant, Lillie. There are four new islands to explore, all filled with new friends to make and many brand new Pokémon to discover. Sounds good to me! Both my younger kids have already added these games to their Christmas lists.
In the meantime, there will be plenty of trips to GameStop to ooh and ahh over the many Pokémon Collectibles they have in stock, which include plushies, trading cards, Z-ring sets, t-shirts and more. My son visits our local GameStop so often that the store associates know him by name, a small detail that thrills my kid. We’ve always been impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable our local GameStop store associates are — It’s definitely a big part of what keeps us going back instead of heading elsewhere for our games.
Another great reason to get your Pokémon gear at GameStop is the store’s 20% Power Trade Offer. Bring in an old game or accessory between now and December 4th and get extra trade credit towards the purchase of your new Pokémon game! So head out to your local GameStop now and see all the Pokémon Collectibles for yourself. Follow GameStop on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on all the latest deals, and if you post about your Pokémon experience at GameStop, be sure and use the hashtag #PokemonAtGameStop so that they’ll see it.
And to get you even more excited, I’m giving away a $100 Visa Gift Card to one lucky Suburban Turmoil reader! To enter to win it, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what you love most about GameStop. Good luck!
