All they had to do was switch the bedroom/living area around and there wouldn't have been a problem. I'm sure I was not the first to complain. Sigh. Benadryl when I am staying in a hotel.   But you are right, ear plugs do hurt....  I must say though, I have always found NYC an extremely easy city to navigate because of the grid system.  Far easier than Nashville ;)  However, I have only been there for pleasure and never business which I am sure makes a difference.  :) I am extremely sensitive to noise too so I feel your pain!  I will usually wear earplugs and sometimes pop (only one!)
