    I do this but instead of the microwave, I loosely wrap it in foil and throw it on the grill with whatever meat we are having.

    Just so happened that I picked up a vidalia today – saw this come across my google reader and made it tonight. DELISH! Like French Onion soup without the bread and cheese. Definitely added to my recipes – thanks for sharing!

      So glad you liked them! I bought a bag last week and made two as a side for my husband and me. We liked them so much, we had them the next three nights! After all, they won’t be around too much longer!
