We’ve been getting quite crafty this Halloween season, despite the soccer games and soccer practices and dance lessons and deadlines.
For ages, I had been saving two pages ripped from a magazine with pictures of Halloween cupcake designs. This morning, Punky had a friend over and we got down to decorating business.
First, I set out the ingredients- mostly Halloween candy, plus a few large marshmallows. I didn’t skimp on the candy, figuring that whatever we didn’t use will be good for Halloween night.
The cupcakes were straight from a box mix, and the frosting was ready-made. I wasn’t going for gourmet here… the whole point is to get to the decorating as quickly as possible!
The girls went crazy decorating their cupcakes. Plenty of candy was sampled along the way, too!
We especially liked the gummy body parts. The fingers were very popular.
A few shots of the final products…
More spooooooky cupcakes!
And the eyes have it!
I think these might become an annual tradition. They were fun and easy- I can’t wait to make some for Punky’s kindergarten class next year!
