Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve waited until the last possible second to plan the holiday menu.
Luckily, I (along with Del Monte, makers of premium canned vegetables and so much more) am here to help! If you’re wondering what to include on your holiday table, Del Monte has just published its Comfort Food Index, which ranks the Top 10 Holiday Comfort Foods based on consumers’ responses.
You can’t go wrong with any of these dishes:
1. Potatoes (mashed or scalloped): 84% (percent who feel “comfort” by eating the food)
2. Pie: 82%
3. Baked goods (cookies & muffins): 81%
4. Macaroni & cheese: 75%
5. Cake: 71%
6. Casserole: 69%
7. Stews and hearty soups: 68%
8. Meatballs (with or without pasta: 65%
9. Sweet potatoes (mashed or cut): 61%
10. Cornbread: 60%
Well, actually…. You CAN go wrong. I mean, you and I both know you can’t just rely on any old recipe– You’ve got to find one that delivers amazing results. Del Monte knows this, y’all. And they’ve got you covered.
