>November Perfect Post Awards

  1. Merry Mama says:

    >The haircut was definitely one of the funniest posts I’ve seen in a while. Thanks.

  2. AT says:

    >Whoa whoa whoa, I get a dead wife, and THEN don’t get a perfect post award? Wheres the justice?:)

  3. >Oh yeah, and did I mention AT has a wonderfully twisted sense of humor? If there were an award for incredible fortitude, honesty and grace in the face of absolute godawfulness, it would be all yours, AT.

  4. tori says:

    >It is oddly comforting to know that you are following AT’s journey as well. The day BJ died was surrealistic– I was honestly grieving for a woman and a family I have never met. I, uh, DO have a life, so it is not my habit to become totally engrossed in a stranger’s. But AT’s beautiful writing, his clarity and poetry, just drew me in and I became one of the (apparently many) people who were compulsively checking in on him several times a day. I enjoy your blog so much. I am a lived-21-years-in-Hillsboro-Village-just-moved-to-BRENTWOOD-for-crying-out-loud kind of gal, myself. Life in the ‘burbs is certainly different, but I haven’t turned into a Stepford/tennis mom yet. And I have had to come face to face with some of my reverse-snobbery issues… As my 14 year old daughter says, “Mom–seriously, they NEED us here!”

  5. Pageant Mom says:

    >About 7 years ago I came extremely close to losing my husband in an accident. I didn’t think I could look at ATs saga for bringing back some of those memories… I just remember the horrors of my husband’s pain and suffering, (it was bad), the vague commentaries on his condition by his doctors (one actually just “gave up” and we had to find our own new doctor), the ineffeciencies and screwups at the hospital, trying to “keep it together” on the homefront and also preparing ourselves for the fact that he might die or never be the same. Bless AT for his honesty and sharing.

  6. Mom101 says:

    >That haircut post is wonderful! Thanks for the laugh – and getting out of the blogging box, so to speak.

  7. Meena says:

    >I just wanted to thank you for sharing AT’s blog. I must be living under a log, because I was completely unaware. And now I am riveted and sad and amazed and at a loss for words.

  8. Sher says:

    >I too, would like to thank you for sharing AT’s blog. There are no words, not a one, than can adequately describe how I’ve felt since reading it.
