Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

Remember when I went BLOGWOL several weeks ago? Well, I was shooting season two of I’ll Take That Darefor CafeMom — and we decided to change it up a bit from season one’s Style Dares, just to keep things interesting.
This season, I took ten fitness dares.
And frankly now that I’ve taken them, I’m lucky to be sitting here writing to you today.
I took ten dares in a little under two weeks — To say that I was sore at the end was a GROSS UNDERSTATEMENT. It took me a full two weeks to really recover. (The beach definitely helped!) I’m only just now starting to work out again, and the trauma I still feel each time I lace up my cross trainers may take several months- nay- YEARS– to dissipate.
What does all this mean to you?
It means that THE VIDEOS TURNED OUT REALLY, REALLY GOOD, Y’ALL. Trust me on this one. The things I got to do were amazing, the limits I pushed myself to reach were life changing, the fitness trainers and teachers I met were wonderful, and of course, the situations I found myself in reached new heights of hilarity.
I mean, at it’s core, I’ll Take That Dare has GOT to be funny or I’ve failed. Miserably.
I’m also extra excited about season two because I got to be far more hands-on in the edit process. Not everyone knows this, but in my television experience I’ve been behind the scenes as a producer almost as much as I’ve been on camera– so a perfect job for me involves both roles. I definitely had that with this season.
Okay, so want to see my first dare? I tried PARKOUR- a fitness technique that I’m pretty sure most of you have never heard of- I hadn’t, either, until we started tossing around ideas for the show. I could try to explain it to you, but it’s one of those things you literally have to see to really understand… and what you’re about to see is INCREDIBLE. Trust me on this.
Check out my very first fitness dare here… (And stick around for the BIG SURPRISE at the end!)
And if you want to help a girl out, please leave a comment and/or a thumbs up on the YouTube page… and subscribe to the show by clicking on the ‘subscribe’ button at the top of the video.
Thanks!

LOL. Did you suddenly grow a beard for that last tumbling run? Never in a million years would I do this, even if I could. Now I understand the strongly worded warning at the beginning.
The first part I was all “oh no biggie — my trainer has me doing that all the time”. And then I just shuddup because. . .I’m not doing that. Too hard. U rock.
Also, did he say Parkour was 85% conditioning and 50% technique? Because that’s bad math. He said 15%? That’s better.
I liked it better than the fashion episodes. Fun!! Thumbs up!!
You look gorgeous!
Tell me we have parkour in Nashville? This looks awesome and fun and something I’d actually stick with
