>It’s a two-for-one today!
First up, my thoughts on discipline are over at Work It, Mom!’s Problem Solved blog. Bruiser has really been putting all of my theories about discipline to the test, but so far, the things I’ve written about over there seem to be working. I hope you’ll join in the conversation there and give us all a few new ideas on how to keep our kids in line.
Also today, it’s Suburban Turmoil, newspaper-style! This week, I talk about PIRCs: Parents Inappropriately Reliving Childhood. Need I say more? Well, I do, but it’s over at the Nashville City Paper’s site. Check it out!
And have a wonderful Friday!
>LMAO…there are times I positively love being a wallflower in such circumstances 😉
>I generally lurk, but I just wanted to let you know that I love your blog, it always makes me laugh! 🙂
>Funny, I am constantly telling my kids to figure it out. Sorry, but I don’t want to relive First grade homework.
>I’m right there with ya! My 4 y/o son had the $130 “Spike The Ultra Dino” on his list! It’s good for him to dream..right!?
>HAHA…I have never been a PIRC but know plenty.I like the idea of changing the anagram around, too. That person hit the nail on the head. I went to see my child at school yesterday. Stood off to the side, leaning against the while beside her class. A PIRC came by to talk to her friend and, literally, stood in front of me. I had to ask her to move because I was missing shots of my child….and she was the one that was pissed. What a PRIC 🙂
>PRIC is appropriate in some cases! But somehow, I don’t think my editor would have let that one through. 😀
>And thank you Becca! 🙂
