Oh, don’t act like you didn’t know the Santa picture was coming. It’s not Christmas on this blog if I can’t post our annual Santa picture! No smile from Bruiser this year, but the fact that he’s sitting there at all is nothing short of a miracle; he had spent the previous five minutes kicking and screaming in our arms. “To hell with Santa!” he screamed in baby-ese (which only I can understand). “I want to run through this mall until my fat little legs can’t run anymore!”
Also? The navy and black combo? Really bothering me. Hubs saw the hat in the car as we got out and decided Bruiser needed to be wearing it for his Santa photo. Yeah.
Punky, on the other hand, has never taken a better Santa picture. I considered cutting Bruiser out of this one- I mean, surely he’ll understand when he’s, you know, old enough to understand. “I had to cut you out, honey,” I’ll explain with a sad smile. “You were wearing black and navy together. Totally your dad’s fault.”
Hmm. I’ll have to think about it.

>Actually, navy and black together are very French.Cute photo!
>Good Santa? Green Hills or Cool Springs or neither? We’re heading out tomorrow for the Santa Photo and I’m not sure who’ll have the best one.
>That was supposed to be Good Santa!
>The Cool Springs Santa is best, but the line is LONG. The Green Hills Santa has a nice background and the line’s never very bad. If you have small children, go with him. 🙂
>Black and Navy together still bugs me too- as do white shoes after Labor Day… I don’t care that the “rules” have changed. I also can’t bring myself to wear gold with silver either.. but Bruiser and Punky look precious despite the French color combination!
>Hi Lindsay – 3rd link is not working
>Mall Santa’s make me think of Billy Bob Thorton in “Bad Santa”.They totally wig me out.
>Just photoshop that hat to be the right color!
>Yah, but you blew it: someone should be crying.
>LOL…a reminder of what it’s like to be 18 and waiting for life to happen, already. If I could go back, I might put some brakes on the happening ;)Bruiser’s a trooper, while Punky reveled in the moment!
>This is the first year I took my son to see Santa (he’s 20 months). I was amazed that he didn’t scream like a banshee. He didn’t exactly smile, but at least he isn’t screaming. Thanks for sharing your picture.
>I lurve Punky’s shoes. Wish they came in my size.
>I wouldn’t have done the hat. We’re Green Hills Santa people.
>that santa looks real…and your kids look real….cute!
>My youngest son commented once that there were no pictures of him with Santa alone. True when the oldest was small he got alone pics. But when #2 came along they were always together with Santa. ($$$ Santa pics). Just a thought for you so Bruiser won’t ask the same thing when he is older.
