Comment Torture

  1. Tyra says:

    >LOL, too funny! I’ve had people find my blog for the weirdest things too. One was “making out with braces”. All I could imagine was some pimple faced 13yr old trying to figure out how to make out with his girlfriend safely since they both have braces, lol.

  2. Busy Mom says:

    >Haloscan. Sounds like office machinery in Heaven.

  3. yellojkt says:

    >Checking on Googlers is one of my daily pleasures. Lots of Jessica Biehl and Angelina Jolie fans out there. The scary ones were the weeks of searches for “cute baby pictures”. Sometimes minutes apart. I want to know who was looking and why. At least with Angelina and Jessica, the motivation is obvious.

  4. >By the way, you made me laugh out loud with your “The Ellipsis-Addicted…Lucinda.” I fear that my family may have to hold an punctuation intervention as well…or at least family hug.I also thought I’d let you know that once I tried to hide my blog from search engines so that I wouldn’t have to use the word verification with blogger comments; but alas, I still managed to get them. Perhaps you’ll have better luck though.

  5. >I’m going to have to ask “Yonz” what she does, because she has hidden her blog and turned off word verification and she never gets spam, as far as I can tell…Cute baby pictures- That’s scary. Makes me want to take mine down.

  6. Crazy MomCat says:

    >Weird. I posted on here earlier and now it isn’t showing up!I may take Haloscan off my site as well. It’s a pain and I”m tired of all the problems.

  7. Raehan says:

    >Yes, many of my favorites comments are gone because Haloscan deletes them after a certain number. Sad, since I had some amazing tips on how to bake a birthday cake and they were gone when the next birthday came around.I took my blog away from searches long ago and I feel so much safer.

  8. ieatcrayonz says:

    >Yeah, it’s the weirdest thing about the NO ROBOTS meta tag. Me get no spam! I was just doing it to hide myself from work. Go figure.Let’s see if the comments will accept the code you need to put in your template: [META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW, NOARCHIVE”]Replace these [ ] with the side carrot bracket thingies. The only thing I’ve seen it interfere with is Blogshares. It still updates sometimes, though.

  9. >The good news is that I can still read my comments on the Haloscan site. The bad news is that I can’t put them back on my old posts. So rest assured that your comments may be gone, but they will never be forgotten!

  10. Kim says:

    >woohoo! I can post on your site again!!!

  11. >I had wondered what happened to you, Kim! And thanks to Blogger, I got your comment in an e-mail, otherwise I wouldn’t even have known you’d commented. Awwwww, yeah!Plus, there’s an added bonus- My word verification says “germco” and it really is a germ co. here. I woke up feeling quite cold-ridden. Thank God I remembered to turn on “Future Prediction” along with “Word Verification!”
