>Lucinda’s 5 days of sickness

  1. >I miss Nyquil. My kids get up too much in the middle of the night still.I am jealous of your “sleep of the dead”.I know. I’m pathetic.

  2. >Glad you’re feeling better, welcome back!

  3. Kristen says:

    >I hate those lingering colds. Glad you’re better!

  4. >Knock on wood, no sickness here. Both the kiddos and I got flu shots this year and so far so good. Again, knock on wood. Of course, sleeping the sleep of the dead would be a bonus. I think I feel something coming on…

  5. Masked Mom says:

    >Ah, Nyquil, nectar of the gods, provider of the sleep of the dead. Not sure what we’d do without it. 🙂

  6. >I’m not sick, but you make Nyquil sound mighty appealing. Who couldn’t use a little ‘sleep of the dead?’

  7. >Hey Lucinda,My name is Lucinda too! And oddly enough I think I’m getting sick this week too!

  8. MommaK says:

    >I’m sorry you were sick honey!! I wish I could have brought you over some awful homemade soup and delectable store bought wine. I’ve had my head very far up my own ass these days with the house closing but I do miss you and wish I had more time to blog.xoxo

  9. Kristen says:

    >I could use the sleep of the dead. Lately I’ve been getting the sleep of a newborn baby. Off damn cast!Glad you are feeling better… 🙂

  10. Mom Nancy says:

    >This is pretty much a description of every time I get sick except that I can’t take any meds due to Rx meds I already take, so I don’t get the “sleep of the dead.” I relate to everything else though. Glad you’re feeling better.

  11. d34dpuppy says:

    >so thats where i got this cough 24/7 even with nyquil stuff

  12. Virenda says:

    >How can you be sick and Funny it’s not fair. Day 4 is EXACTLY how I feel as well. I love that you captured how I feel when I’m sick. Thanks for the laugh…Oh can you please pass the Nyquil?

  13. Jess Riley says:

    >I’m with Virenda: funny AND sick–a winning and awe-inspiring combo.

  14. >Sick people say the darndest things! 😉 Glad you are better, no one likes a sick Lucinda…

  15. Mary says:

    >All is forgotten.Until the next cold, anyway. ;)Hope you stay well, Lucinda.

  16. Fuckkit says:

    >I could do with some Time Of Work Illness if you fancy sharing some germs?

  17. Jennifer says:

    >poor lucinda! but that sure was funny. glad you are feeling better. too bad the house didn’t get taken care of in the meantime.

  18. doow says:

    >I diagnose what my friend calls a “man-cold”. Glad you pulled through!

  19. Lisa says:

    >Good, there’s hope for me yet. I’m on day #3 and really hoping I’m better before Friday, when we actually get to go out on a date. At least you’re getting some sleep though! Our 2 year old’s sleep schedule has been wacked since the time change Saturday and she was up from 12:15 to almost 4 a.m.

  20. Vanessa says:

    >Nyquil’s the best when you’re sick. Amazing what thoughts run around in your otherwise sane head when you’re sick, though! Glad you’re better, Lucinda!

  21. zeldafitz says:

    >You need to reverse the prescription–take the NyQuil IN THE MORNING! And stay up all night watching old movies. You don’t get better faster, but you have more fun! And in the dark you can’t see how messy everything is.

  22. Birdie says:

    >Glad you’re better!Nothing like the winter crud to mess with the delicate balance of our minds. Last time I was sick I stared in the mirror a long, long time, almost shaved my head bald. Somehow that made sense.

  23. Lisa says:

    >Mmmmmm Nyquil. It’s the best thing in the world when I’m sick – or out of liquor. ;-)Glad you’re feeling better!

  24. krista says:

    >Glad you are feeling better. I am waiting for my day 5. I’m don’t have a cold but I’m on about a day three of the depression crap.

  25. Erin says:

    >Ugh… I’m sorry you were sick. And, I’m glad you are feeling better. Nothing goes well when Momma is sick in my house either.

  26. >When I’m sick, I just take a few days off from my SAHM work and let Hubby handle things. Girlie behaves, the dog lets herself out to crap, groceries get delivered by a cute UPS guy…then I wake up from my Nyquil coma and realize that I was dreaming. Sadly, not about the being sick part.

  27. Busy Mom says:

    >Glad you are feeling better!

  28. Jamie says:

    >While you’ve been sick, Lisa Rinna has started pimping Tupperware! She’s their new celeb spokesperson:http://www.hollywoodrag.com/index.php?/weblog/comments/which_one_is_more_plastic/

  29. Plumkrazzee says:

    >Bummer you were sick….I was last week, too, only mine was barfing for 3 days straight. Something called Norwalk Virus. Whatever, it sucked. Isn’t it amazing how we start to act so “girly” when we’re sick? Hoping the men in our lives can survive without us, and knowing that they can’t…ha!

  30. adena says:

    >Oh, I totally relate! I think I died this weekend, too.

  31. vicki says:

    >The only thing that lasts longer than a bad cold is when Baby has a bad cold.I’m on day 3 so this gives me hope. My grandmother always said this about colds,”Two days coming, two days here, two days going.” So maybe you got off light.Glad you’re feeling better.

  32. >amazing what a little, or actually, alot of sleep can do for a person. glad you’re feeling better!

  33. phlegmfatale says:

    >It’s funny how certain you can be that you are dying, and then the next day it’s all back to normal…

  34. mama_tulip says:

    >Well, glad you’re feeling better. But dude, I’ve been sick for five days, too! Wonder Twin Powers, ACTIVATE!
